FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Open the site and play. There is no login and no password.

Where is my unfinished game?

On this browser. Continue Last Game on the home screen reopens it. A different browser, a private window, or clearing site data starts you with no saved board.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. The board is a tall layout meant for a phone as well as a desktop window. Pinch-zoom is unnecessary; use the digits under the grid.

What is a Killer cage?

A dotted group of cells with a small total. Those cells follow normal Sudoku rules, and their digits also add up to that total without repeating. Read the cage guide.

Why does Battle ask for a network?

Battle compares your progress with an opponent, so it needs a connection. Classic, Killer, and Daily Challenge do not. If Battle disconnects, it pauses and is not scored.

The puzzle ended after three wrong digits. Can I turn that off?

Yes. Settings includes Limit Mistakes to Three. With it off, a wrong entry is still a mistake, but the puzzle continues. Common mistakes covers what counts as wrong.

Do I have to watch ads to play?

No. Advertising is not required to start a puzzle. If ads are shown later, the privacy policy describes them.
